Packhouse Technologist

Our client in the Citrus / Agricultural Industry is currently looking to employ a Packhouse Technologist. This role will be based in Addo. Graduates are welcome to apply. Training will be provided.   Requirements: Experience with industrial automation, software configuration, or data analysis Experience with optical sorting, machine learning, or packhouse technologies is advantageous but not required Exposure to agricultural or food processing environments beneficial Tertiary technical qualification (e.g. Industrial Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science/IT, Mechatronics or similar)   Responsibilities: Configure, optimise, and continuously improve automated fruit sorting and grading systems (e.g. defects, colour, size and quality parameters). Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues on grading equipment to ensure accurate sorting and optimal uptime. Analyse data trends and system outputs to improve accuracy, and enhance product quality. Train and support operators and line supervisors in correct system usage and best practices. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to integrate improvements and support new technology roll-outs.
