The Procurement Assistant at The Royal Portfolio works alongside our Interiors team to manage the administration and planning for all the procurement requirements for our properties. This is an integral role that keeps our Designers, Decorators, Interior Architect, Project Managers, Stock and Procurement teams organised. This is so that The Royal Portfolio can live up to our purpose which is "to give our Guests a complete experience and a perfect stay".  MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES collating lists of furniture, fittings and equipment required per project sourcing quotes as needed for the team to compare creating inventory lists tracking delivery details capturing all items received, and working closely with the Warehouse  managing logistics of any shipping or couriers as required REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Events Management or Interior Decorating preferred.  You must be available to work full-time, in office You must be able to travel, and work irregular hours You must have a driver's license You must be physically fit, and able to fetch and carry large/ sometimes heavy items Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English Positive attitude with can-do mindset Ability to work in a fast-paced, pressurised office environment It is important that the candidate is able to work as part of a team and is a good cultural fit for The Royal Portfolio. South African citizenship is advantageous. A valid work permit is essential if you are not in possession of a South African ID document. Please note it is a condition of employment, that all staff undergo a pre-employment polygraph test.
