Human Resources and Compliance Manager
plays a pivotal role, ensuring that all people and operational practices uphold the highest standards of legal, ethical, and organisational governance. You will oversee all aspects of HR management, from recruitment and onboarding to performance, culture, and wellbeing, while maintaining robust systems for regulatory compliance across both South Africa and the United Kingdom, risk management, and governance.

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, people-centred, and detail-oriented professional to lead our HR and compliance functions. This role ensures adherence to employment law, data protection, and healthcare governance frameworks, while driving a culture of inclusion, engagement, and accountability.

The successful candidate will have a passion for people and systems, combining strong HR expertise with deep knowledge of compliance frameworks in healthcare and digital service delivery. Human Resources Management

  • Lead the full HR lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, retention and offboarding
  • Develop and implement HR policies aligned with company values, employment law, and best practice
  • Support managers in performance reviews, capability building, and career development planning
  • Lead employee relations, wellbeing, engagement, and inclusion initiatives
  • Ensure accurate and compliant HR documentation, employment contracts, personnel records, and systems
  • Support workforce planning, succession management, and resource allocation across departments
  • Compliance and Governance
  • Maintain and continually improve company compliance frameworks, internal policies and quality systems
  • Lead and ensure successful completion of all compliance workflows related to our healthcare service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws, healthcare regulations, and international organisational standards
  • Coordinate audits, risk assessments, data protection reviews, and quality assurance activities
  • Review, update, and communicate company policies and procedures regularly to ensure regulatory alignment
  • Monitor and report on compliance KPIs, supporting continuous improvement and risk mitigation initiatives

General Leadership

  • Advise the Senior Leadership Team on HR and compliance risks or issues
  • Provide coaching, training and guidance to line managers on people and compliance matters
  • Work company wide with programme support and delivery, tech, operations, and finance teams to embed compliant and values-based working practices
  • Champion a culture of integrity and transparency, taking into account the company's values of collaboration, continuous improvement and empowerment

Skills and Experience

  • Degree-level qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (professional HR certification preferred)
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in HR and/or compliance management (experience in health, tech, or digital service sectors strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of employment law, data protection, and governance frameworks in both the UK and South Africa
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects, prioritise competing demands, and deliver results with integrity
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and implementing HR and compliance policies or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Skilled in confidential data handling, HR tools, and digital document management systems
  • Proactive, professional, and highly organised, with a collaborative approach and commitment to continuous learning
