Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • M+3 yr Business Management Qualification
  • ITIL Foundation
  • ITSM
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus

Experience

  • Asset lifecycle management: The asset lifecycle spanning from purchase to asset disposition. It also covers planning, maintaining, upgrading, and retiring assets. (5-7yrs)
  • Asset inventory and documentation: Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of IT assets on the Fixed Assets Registre. (5-7yrs)
  • Internal Audit Control Measures: Develop and implement internal control principles that assures the custodian and safeguard of ICT assets. (3yrs)
  • Microsoft and other Software license management: Tracking software licenses to ensure legal compliance and adequately allocating licence to applicable users. (5yrs) (Desirable)
  • Vendor and contract management: Managing vendor relationships and contracts ensures value, timely deliveries, and smooth renewals or terminations. (5yrs)
  • People Management: Experience in leading and managing a team. (3yrs)
  • Budget Management (3yrs - Desirable)
  • End-user computing, with a focus on technical support and service delivery. (5yrs)
  • Experience with cloud-based end-user computing services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace). (Desirable)

Knowledge

  • Procurement and Asset Management System
  • Public and Finance Management Act (Desirable)
  • Technical expertise - Strong knowledge of end-user computing technologies, including operating systems (Windows, macOS), hardware (desktops, laptops, mobile devices), software, and networking concepts. Microsoft end-user computing technologies e.g. Intune, SCCM, Office 365.
  • Understanding of ITSM or other service management frameworks.
  • Understanding of security best practices for end-user computing and data protection.
