Reporting to the Financial Executive, this role is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in finance and operational aspects of the business, while working on five of South Africa's leading sporting, outdoor and athleisure brands.
Description of the Role:
The Financial Controller is responsible to effectively manage and control the financial, administrative and accounting functions to the necessary quality standards that comply with company, operational and legislative requirements
Key duties include:
- Measure and manage costs and create measures to ensure costs are within budget.
- Prepare and produce accurate monthly financial management accounts
- Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations.
- Oversee the finance team, ensuring accurate ledger maintenance and timely reconciliations.
- Act as the main point of contact for addressing any inquiries and questions related to financial operations.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and cost control initiatives.
- Management of IT equipment and software.
- Setting up and management of internal controls
- Asset management and procurement
Key skills and attributes required:
- BCom, SAIIPA or CIMA, newly qualified CA(SA)
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Power BI knowledge will be advantageous
- Staff management experience
