Product lifecycle management

  • Take responsibility for the identification of new opportunities, service improvements and cost reductions, based on data gathered and analysed.
  • Contribute to the determination of pricing and profitability of the product, inclusive of the approval of special pricing where required.

  • Support sales and marketing activities

    • Align product launch activities with marketing activities by giving the sales team information regarding competitor analysis, market analysis, business performance analysis and other research information.
    • Ensure that the product literature is accurate and develop training content that will assist with product sales.
    • Perform product demonstrations to customers and develop efficient customer communication and feedback channels.

    Team Leadership

    • Lead and inspire the development team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Provide clear guidance on the product goals, ensuring team members understand their roles and responsibilities.


Requirements
  • Degree in a technical field, e.g. Marketing, Computer Science
  • Agile certification would be advantageous.
  • Professional Scrum Product Owner – Advanced certification.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role with B2C product management experience
  • Experience in information gathering and the creation of product stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to construct clear product user stories, requirements and technical documentation.
  • Attention to detail coupled with accurate execution and delivery.
  • Ability to work on several simultaneous projects.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to effectively engage with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of user-centred design principles.
  • Deep knowledge of the product lifecycle and stages.
  • Knowledge of digital / platform products and the market it serves. i.e., domain expertise.
  • Ruthless focus on next steps with the ability to balance technical constraints and a differentiated product.
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Ability to translate customer needs into tangible product features and technical details.
