POSITION: Project and Data Engineer BRANCH: Head Office, Epping, Cape Town

BOLTFAST, a leading distributor of Industrial Fasteners is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Project and Data Engineer to join our team. This position is responsible for providing data-driven insights and business intelligence to support decision-making, contribute to strategy development and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

·       Analyse complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational and engineering improvement.

·       Generate data-driven insights and reports to inform decision-making at various levels of the organization.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven strategies aligned with company objectives.

·       Assist in the development and maintenance of data visualization tools and dashboards for performance monitoring.

·       Work closely with the Engineering and Project Manager and data team to provide data-driven recommendations for process optimization.

·       Identify and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track departmental performance.

·       Contribute to the development of business intelligence solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

·       Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.

·       Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and data visualization.

·       Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).

·       Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

·       
Effective communication skills to convey complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.

·       Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.

·       Above-average command of English is required.

·       Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks, demonstrating self-motivation and the ability to meet deadlines.

·       Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and contribute innovative ideas to improve processes and outcomes.

·       Strong personal qualities, including honesty, reliability, responsibility, trustworthiness, and maturity.

A market related remuneration package is offered based on experience, which includes membership to the Company pension fund, life insurance and funeral cover.
