With an impressive track record in industrial, convenience retail, and office investments - and a rapidly expanding development pipeline - this lean, high-energy team plans to double their assets under management in the years to come, with no signs of slowing down.
Given their recent growth, they're on the hunt for an Operational Asset Manager to bolster coverage of their Western Cape-based portfolio and play a pivotal role in driving performance across the assets. The successful incumbent will be responsible for overseeing external property managers (including major national firms), optimising operational and financial performance, and contributing to the overall investment strategy. Key areas of focus include budgeting and forecasting, capex planning, lease and tenant management, asset enhancement initiatives, and ensuring compliance and reporting standards are met. You'll have direct exposure to acquisitions, developments, and value-add strategies while working closely with senior leadership.
The ideal candidate is a commercially minded property professional with a solid foundation in property management and a strong grasp of asset-level financials and investment metrics. You'll need excellent stakeholder management skills, a collaborative and proactive attitude, and the ability to balance operational detail with strategic insight. Experience in any commercial asset class (retail, office, or industrial) will be considered. A relevant tertiary qualification in Property, Finance, or similar, and strong Excel or financial modelling skills would be advantageous. With a focus on rewarding high-performers, they offer a short-term incentive of up to 40% as well as a potential long-term incentive.
