Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Car Paintshop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the spray painter in preparing vehicles for painting, ensuring all surfaces are properly prepped, masked, and finished to a high standard. This role is crucial in maintaining quality workmanship and a smooth workflow within our paintshop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with surface preparation including sanding, masking, and cleaning.
• Mix paints and materials according to specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the paintshop area.
• Assist with polishing and buffing after paintwork is completed.
• Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment appropriately.
• Help with moving and positioning vehicles in and out of the spray booth.
• Perform quality checks and report any paint defects to the supervisor.
• Support the spray painter and panel beater with day-to-day tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of automotive paint processes is an advantage.
• Ability to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to handle tools and equipment safely.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the workshop environment.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a bonus but not essential.
