An established distribution business based in Midrand is seeking a Financial Director who can provide both operational oversight and strategic leadership to support growth and efficiency across the organisation.

This leading player in the distribution and logistics sector is known for its national footprint, operational excellence, and forward-thinking leadership team. The company is entering its next phase of expansion and requires a seasoned Financial Director to drive financial performance, enhance reporting structures, and contribute to long-term strategic decisions.

As a key member of the executive team, you will play a vital role in aligning finance with operations — ensuring profitability, improving working capital, and strengthening governance. This is a career-defining opportunity for a commercially astute CA(SA) who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments where strategic impact and leadership visibility are key.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the full finance function, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
  • Partner with the executive team to drive financial strategy and optimise business performance.
  • Lead initiatives focused on process improvement, cost control, and system integration.
  • Provide guidance on investment decisions, financial modelling, and risk management.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
  • CA(SA) qualification – essential.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years post-articles experience, ideally within the distribution, logistics, or FMCG sectors.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership or Director-level finance role.
  • Strong command of ERP systems and advanced Excel.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
