Tax and Accounting Clerk

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Tax and Accounting Clerk to manage tax and accounting-related tasks for their clients. This position is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and a passion for accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.

Location: Heidelberg, Gauteng
Salary: R11,000 – R15,000 (depending on experience)
Available Positions: 1
Start Date: as soon as possible

Main Responsibilities:

  • SARS e-Filing and tax forms

  • Income Tax registrations

  • Submission of Income Tax for individuals, companies, farmers, and trusts

  • Appointment of Registered Representatives via e-Filing

  • Handling SARS discrepancies and follow-ups

  • SARS registrations such as VAT, PAYE, etc.

  • UIF and WCA registrations

Bonus Skills That May Influence Salary Review:

  • Experience with Pastel

  • Posting from documentation and bank statements for VAT and trial balances

  • General accounting services

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years' experience in a similar role

  • Strong computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Experience with SARS e-Filing is advantageous

  • 1–3 years of experience with SARS e-Filing

  • Pastel experience (advantageous)

  • Knowledge of tax legislation and regulations is a plus

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

  • Good communication skills

  • Team player

  • Aanwysing van Geregistreerde Verteenwoordigers via e-Filing

  • Hantering van SARS teenstrydighede en opvolging

  • Registrasies by SARS soos BTW, LBS ens.

  • UIF en WCA registrasies
