Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Data Modelling to join our consulting team, providing specialist services to a leading banking client. The successful candidate will work closely with the client's Head of Banking, supporting the development and optimisation of data models critical to banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head of Banking to understand business requirements and translate them into robust data models.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data models for banking schemes, including but not limited to interchange, fee structures, and cost models.
  • Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ensure data models are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Support the integration of data models into existing banking systems and processes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience in data modelling within the banking sector.
  • Strong understanding of banking schemes, including interchange, fees, and cost models.
  • Demonstrable experience at Manager level within a consulting or financial services environment.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant data modelling tools and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with regulatory reporting and compliance in the banking sector.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
