All public South African universities have nationally approved enrolment mandates that guide enrolment across different fields and levels of study and achieving its enrolment mandate is a key strategic focus area for UWC.A dynamic and inspiring individual is sought to help plan, initiate and implement coordinated student recruitment and marketing strategies that support the recruitment of students in accordance with the University's student enrolment goals and targets.Reporting to the Director of the Student Enrolment Management Unit, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following areas:Provide support to the Director with regard to the compilation and evaluation of student recruitment plans and strategies.Manage and monitor the implementation of selected recruitment strategies and provide formal monitoring and review reports.Manage and coordinate promotional activity for out-bound school visits, career exhibitions and other recruitment and career activities as per the recruitment plan.Advise on programmes on offer and highlight admission requirements during career activities.Enquiry management, including the referral of and enhancing of enquiry systems in conjunction with the Student Recruitment Administrator.Assist with all other inbound student recruitment activities as and when necessary – must have a driver's licence and be able to undertake and/ or participate in in and out of country travelling.Network with relevant internal and external stakeholders.Contribute to an ethos of collaboration, teamwork and excellence in the Unit.Minimum RequirementsMinimum requirements:A relevant Bachelor's degree or a relevant equivalent qualification at NQF 7A minimum of 6 years of relevant experienceRequired CompetenciesProficiency with digital media is a strong requirementExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated and with the ability to take initiativeFlexibility to adapt and work in a range of varying environments and with different people, tasks and responsibilitiesThe ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholdersProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)In your application, you are encouraged to highlight your strengths and include anything else you deem exceptional and outstanding to be considered by the selection panel.
