About the Role:

Zenzele Valves Manufacturing (ZVM) is seeking a detail-oriented and driven
Quality Assurance (QA) Officer
to join our growing team. The QA Officer will ensure that all products, processes, and documentation related to valve manufacturing and supply meet the highest quality and compliance standards.

This role involves managing quality control plans, method statements, and all quality-related documentation, including data books. The QA Officer will collaborate closely with the Projects Department to integrate quality assurance into every stage of the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, regulatory frameworks, and customer-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control Plan Management:
    Develop, implement, and maintain QCPs in line with project and customer requirements.
  • Tender Quality Planning:
    Review customer specifications and develop quality scopes and objectives accordingly.
  • Documentation:
    Prepare and maintain data books, inspection reports, test reports, procedures, and monthly quality summaries.
  • Defect & Incident Reporting:
    Manage non-conformance and incident reporting, ensuring quick turnaround, root cause identification, and corrective actions.
  • Feedback & Communication:
    Provide timely updates on quality issues, findings, and progress to Projects, Management, Quality Controller, Production, and Internal Audit teams.
  • Risk Management:
    Maintain and monitor the organisation's risk register, identifying areas of improvement.
  • System & Process Testing:
    Evaluate the effectiveness of manufacturing processes and the ISO management system (Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of
    5 years' experience
    in Quality Control/Quality Assurance, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Experience in
    product manufacturing
    essential;
    valve industry experience
    is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of
    QC/QA methodologies
    , ISO standards, and continuous improvement tools (e.g. Six Sigma).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Immediate availability
    will be an added advantage.
