Role Description

This
entry-level FET Maths & Physics teacher
role is a full-time, on-site position at Lakeside Education Academy in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. The position is ideal for someone to gain classroom experience in a smaller environment. The responsibilities include developing and implementing lesson plans for Physics and Mathematics, teaching and assessing Physics and Mathematics to students in grades 9-11, growing to Gr 12 in 2027. The ideal candidate would thrive on creating engaging and meaningful learning experiences for learners. The teacher will be responsible for effective classroom management and communication with parents and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of Physics and Mathematics at an FET level
  • Ability to create and implement effective lesson plans for Physics and Mathematics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (home language)
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, or BSc in Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, with PGCE
  • Experience in using technology and digital resources to enhance learning is an advantage
