Job Purpose:

To support and enhance financial reporting and analytics processes through preparation, analysis, and reconciliation of financial data. The role includes assisting with multi-currency forecasting, ERP bank statement postings, and contributing to both local and group reporting (Blendcore/SAFREF, FCC (SA), and global) while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with reporting standards.



Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review multi-currency forecasts, ensuring alignment with business expectations.
  • Perform and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring accurate ERP postings and supporting documentation.
  • Compile and analyse data for local and group reporting (Blendcore/SAFREF, FCC (SA), and global submissions).
  • Assist in consolidating results for management and group-level reporting.
  • Identify variances and trends in financial data and provide preliminary analysis to support decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness within the ERP and reporting systems.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timelines are met.
  • Collaborate across teams (finance, operations, and reporting) to resolve data discrepancies and improve reporting efficiency.
  • Support process improvement initiatives within forecasting and reconciliation processes.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, multi-currency transactions, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP or similar).
  • Advanced Excel and basic exposure to data analytics tools (Power BI or similar).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and reporting deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience and Education:

  • 3 – 6 years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, or accounting, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Analytics-related field.
  • Experience with Blendcore/SAFREF, FCC (SA), or similar reporting systems will be advantageous.
