Job Description

A South African accounting firm providing finance solutions to small and medium-sized businesses, supporting their growth through financial management and the use of cloud-based and AI-driven technology, is looking for a
Business Accountant
to join their
remote
team in
South Africa
.

As the Business Accountant, you will work with a diverse range of clients across multiple industries, delivering financial systems implementation, financial management, and business intelligence through expert insight and cloud-based automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial data and provide bookkeeping support to clients
  • Assist with client operational processes, including reconciliations
  • Support the compilation of tax returns (payroll, VAT, income tax)
  • Help accountants prepare management reports and analyse data for decision-making
  • Test business scenarios and inter-system integrations
  • Assist with implementation of cloud-based financial systems (accounting, reporting, POS, inventory)
  • Train clients to use implemented systems confidently
  • Contribute to developing internal controls, processes, and adding value to the finance team and clients

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified
    PA(SA), CGMA, AGA(SA)
    or
    SAIBA
  • Three-year degree with honours in accounting, management accounting, business management, or related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in accounting
  • Experience working on Xero, Dext and SimplePay.
  • Experience working on Cin7 is beneficial.

Salary

  • R R47 500 CTC / month
