An exciting opportunity for a seasoned tax professional to lead a high-impact team in a trusted financial services environment.

A well-established, client-focused financial services company based in Southern Suburbs, Cape Town is seeking a Tax and Accounting Services Manager. This is a permanent, on-site role ideal for someone, who thrives on complexity, enjoys developing people, and wants to make a tangible difference to clients' financial well-being.

About the role:

  • This position leads the delivery of both trust and individual tax services — ensuring compliance, driving operational efficiency, and contributing to strategic planning. The successful candidate will play a key role in technical advisory support, stakeholder engagement, and the leadership and development of a skilled internal team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Overseeing tax compliance for both individual and trust clients, including complex family structures
  • Advising internal teams on legislative updates and process improvements
  • Managing third-party service providers and ensuring alignment with service-level agreements
  • Providing technical support on tax disputes and coordinating with external tax specialists
  • Developing and mentoring internal team members on regulatory and compliance matters
  • Collaborating with advisory and fiduciary teams to support new business initiatives

What we're looking for:

  • Holds a BCom(Accounting) or BCom Honours in Taxation (essential)
  • Brings a minimum of 8 years' experience in managing a client-facing tax function
  • CA(SA) - preferred
  • Registered Tax Practitioner or Advisor with all credentials in good standing
  • Strong attention to detail, deadline-driven, and experienced in risk and data integrity management
