Job Title: Bodyshop Supervisor
Location: Gqeberha
Job Type: Full-time
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for Bodyshop process, production, quality and manpower management.
· Responsible for achieving the Bodyshop KPIs by recording & analysing quality, productivity, safety and manpower related problem points.
· Responsible to roll-out and assess Bodyshop KPIs for the Team Leaders and Shop Floor employees.
· Responsible to execute Problem solving techniques to improve the set KPIs and implement sustainable corrective measures.
· Responsible to train and implement Shop Floor Management tools (Safety Management; Scrap Management; Productivity, People Management and Projects).
· Responsible to assign manpower, tasks and responsibilities to the Bodyshop Team as per the Production Plan.
· Responsible to drive and implement strategies to improve Production efficiencies.
· Responsible to oversee Auxillary (Process) materials and maintain accurate records.
· Ensure the Bodyshop plant is operating at an approved level of safety management.
· EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Degree or Diploma in Production Management or equivalent
· 3-5 years' experience in Bodyshop Plant in an Auto manufacturing environment-related management.
· Experience with Kuka robots and relevant Bodyshop welding robots and weld guns.
· Experience with CAD and able to read technical drawings
· Code 8 driver's license & own transport essential
COMPETENCIES:
· Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and conflict management skills
· Good analytical skills and Project Management
· Good communication, planning and organizing skills
· Ability to work independently and with own initiative
· Computer literate (MS Office packages)
· Six Sigma problem solving
