Role responsibilities:

  • In this position, you will join our financial business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that 'bring ideas to life' for our clients across all types of financial projects.
  • Apply your sound understanding of Project Financial Accounting.
  • Assisting the unit leader to manage the finances of the unit, registering projects, revenue recognition, following up on debtors, adjusting project budgets, and analysing the Income Statement.
  • Ensure all unbilled WIP is invoiced timeously.
  • Assist with compilation of information used for monthly reporting and annual budgets.
  • Processing of journals and invoices.
  • Ability to successfully handle project accounting for multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting systems
  • Apply your very good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently (self-starter), as well as part of a group.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum requirements:

  • 3+ years of Project Accounting experience
  • BCom Finance Degree preferred
  • Must have sound project accounting experience/knowledge preferably in a consulting/professional services environment
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Experience with VantagePoint or other project accounting software is preferred
  • PowerBI skills is advantageous
