Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Heavy Equipment Operator and Truck Driver based in Durban. The role involves operating heavy equipment such as excavators, trucks, and loaders efficiently and safely, performing excavation tasks, maintaining equipment, and ensuring job sites are prepared and managed in line with safety protocols and project specifications. While the primary location is in Durban, flexibility for occasional remote work will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Equipment Operation, including heavy equipment, excavation, and used equipment handling
  • Expertise in Equipment Maintenance, ensuring proper care, troubleshooting, and functionality of machinery
  • Ability to operate a range of machinery, including trucks and heavy equipment
  • Valid heavy-duty vehicle driver's license
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures and protocols
  • Physical stamina and ability to handle long hours in variable conditions
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
