Our client, a leading name in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an accomplished Financial Director to join their high-performing finance team. This pivotal role reports directly to the CFO and calls for a commercially astute, forward-thinking professional who can balance strategic oversight with operational excellence.
 
The ideal candidate is a qualified CA(SA) or CIMA-professional with a minimum of 10 years experience in a senior role. Proven shared services management and strong people leadership capabilities are non-negotiable. This role demands someone who can inspire teams, streamline processes, and deliver value across the business.

As the Financial Director, your duties include the following:
Oversee all financial operations and administration within the business
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve strategic and operational goals
Consolidate monthly results and present financial performance insights to management
Drive budgeting, forecasting, and year-end reporting processes
Ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management across all finance activities
Manage working capital, cash flow, and fixed asset reporting
Develop and enforce financial policies, controls, and cost-efficiency measures
Oversee audits, tax, insurance, and statutory compliance matters
Manage contracts, leases, and other commercial agreements
Lead ad hoc financial projects, feasibility studies, and business planning initiatives

Skills & Experience:
10 years of experience in a senior management position
Manufacturing industry experience would be highly advantageous
Shared Services experience
Team leadership skills and the ability to make strategic decisions for a business

Qualification:
Qualified CA(SA) or CIMA
