Junior Finance Associate | German Holding & Family Office
Location: Remote (South Africa-based and Cape Town is preferred)
Type: Full-time
Salary: R20,000 – R24,000 per month

This position is being recruited through Project Y on behalf of a leading international German holding company and family office. Founded by three successful entrepreneurs, the company focuses on creating and preserving wealth through launching startups, acquiring companies, and investing across multiple asset classes.

With operations across Berlin, Dubai, and Singapore, they bring a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach to building and scaling businesses globally. You'll join a dynamic international team and work directly under a senior finance professional, gaining mentorship and guidance to grow your career.

Role Overview

We're looking for a bright, ambitious, and highly motivated Junior Finance Associate to kick-start their career in accounting and finance. This is an opportunity for someone young, hungry, and ready to take ownership of their development, who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to grow professionally.

You will gain hands-on exposure to international accounting, multi-entity bookkeeping, and financial reporting, while developing the skills needed to fast-track your career. This is a role for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in finance and accelerate their career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with bookkeeping for multiple international entities, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and invoice processing.

  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

  • Help ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, external auditors, and tax advisors as needed.

  • Learn to monitor and improve financial processes and internal controls.

  • Apply curiosity, initiative, and a strong work ethic to take on more responsibility as you grow.


Job Requirements / What We're Looking For

  • Early-career professional (0–3 years experience) in accounting, finance, or a related field.

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, BCom, or a related discipline is essential.

  • Smart, resilient, and highly motivated – able to handle repetitive tasks without losing focus.

  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.

  • Quick learner, proactive, and eager to grow in an international environment.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and exposure to accounting tools (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Excel).

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Self-motivated, eager to build a strong career in finance, and committed to contributing long-term.
