An established and forward-thinking organisation situated in the Cape Town CBD is seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join their dynamic and results-driven finance team. The successful candidate will possess a BCom, CIMA, AGA(SA) or an equivalent qualification, along with 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to gain exposure to multi-entity reporting, revenue and sales accounting, and foreign currency transactions. It is ideally suited to an individual who performs well under pressure and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports across multiple entities.
  • Maintain general ledger processes and perform account reconciliations.
  • Manage FOREX transactions, sales, and revenue recognition activities.
  • Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Support external audit activities and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives within the finance department.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • BCom Accounting, CIMA, AGA(SA), or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • 2–3 years' experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple entities and working in a complex accounting environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of FOREX, revenue, and sales accounting.
  • High attention to detail with excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
