About the Role

We're hiring a Finance Manager to support the UK operations of a leading manufacturing client. The role is ideal for a recently qualified Chartered Accountant with 1–3 years post-articles experience, preferably including some UK exposure (6–12 months) and experience or audit exposure within manufacturing.

You'll oversee key financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, cost efficiency, and compliance across international entities. This position offers a chance to work closely with UK-based leadership while being part of a high-performance team in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Control: Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
  • Manufacturing Finance: Support product costing, margin analysis, and cost allocation processes to enhance profitability and operational performance.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with regional finance leads to prepare budgets, rolling forecasts, and strategic financial plans.
  • Audit & Compliance: Maintain audit readiness and ensure compliance with IFRS and UK reporting standards.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements within financial reporting, reconciliation, and control frameworks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to align financial goals with production performance.
  • Inventory & Capex Management: Manage stock reconciliations, fixed assets, and capital expenditure tracking.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Qualifications: CA(SA) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: 1–3 years post-articles experience, ideally with 6–12 months UK exposure.
  • Industry Exposure: Manufacturing or production experience (either direct or through audit engagements).

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical ability.
  • ERP and financial reporting system experience (SAP, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of cost structures, inventory management, and margin analysis.

Soft Skills:

  • Confident communicator with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones and remote teams.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
