The Millwright will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of bakery production machinery and equipment. This role ensures minimum downtime, optimizes plant performance, and supports safe and efficient operations in a high-volume FMCG bakery environment.. 3 years experience and Millwright trade test

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

1. Maintenance & Repairs

  • Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and corrective maintenance on bakery equipment (mixers, proofers, ovens, dividers, conveyors, slicers, packaging machines).

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults to minimize downtime.

  • Ensure all maintenance is completed within set timeframes and according to OEM standards.

2. Installation & Commissioning

  • Install, assemble, align, and commission new production equipment.

  • Modify existing equipment to improve performance and output.

3. Fault Finding & Diagnostics

  • Conduct root cause analysis on breakdowns and recurring faults.

  • Utilize PLC and electrical control systems for troubleshooting.

4. Compliance & Safety

  • Adhere to health, safety, and food safety standards (OHSA, ISO, HACCP).

  • Ensure proper lock-out and tag-out (LOTO) procedures during maintenance.

  • Keep maintenance logs and records in compliance with audit requirements.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Recommend and implement improvements to reduce costs, downtime, and waste.

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams on efficiency projects.

3 years post trade test experience in a FMCG environment

Academic:N3 Trade test as a Millwright
