My client runs a thriving multifaceted African operation, having  built a solid multimillion USD business that's preparing for their next phase of aggressive growth.  

They need a high-achieving CFO who's got a bit of that unique spark - call it a certain flair or a passion that goes beyond just numbers. They should be the kind of person who's not only passionate about their work but also brings a genuine enthusiasm for life outside the office. Additionally, someone who can communicate clearly, get their point across crisply, and nail down ideas in a way that's easy for everyone to grasp.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead financial strategy, planning, and reporting across the African region
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations (IFRS, tax, audit, etc.)
  • Partner with the leadership team on growth plans
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team
  • Bring structure, accountability, and a calm head when things get complex

What they're looking for:

  • CA(SA) with 5-10 years' senior financial leadership experience
  • Commercially sharp - understands business, not just finance
  • Strong communicator who can build trust and influence across levels
  • Comfortable in fast-moving, slightly unstructured environments
  • Hands-on, curious, and confident enough to say "I don't know, but I'll find out.
  • Based in Cape Town
