Role Overview
The role of the Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a marketing strategy for the company by keeping up to date with
industry trends, customer behaviour and competitive landscapes in order to inform strategic decision making. The Marketing Manager should work
closely with key external stakeholders and the Executive Team to refine and execute the business strategy, and to ensure consistent brand messaging
and effective communication about the company is being portrayed. The role is also responsible for guiding and providing support to the internal staff
members to ensure that every that is communicated to the public or internal employees aligns with the companys identity and strategic vision. The role
is also responsible for building the brand both internally and externally and ensure that internal communication run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Management:
- Develop and implement strategies and tactics that enhance the reputation and value of a brand over time. This involves understanding brand identity and positioning, developing, and enforcing brand guidelines and standards, and executing marketing and communication programs that align with brand values and goals.
- Oversee workflow of all members in the marketing department and ensure that project deliverables in the team are met on time and according to the project spec.
- Ensure that all briefs are complete and detailed enough to allow team members to complete tasks.
- Ensure that all VaultGroup and VG Media marketing material prepared by the marketing team, includes proposals that are sent to clients, brochures for all products and services, flyers for all products/events, newsletters, business cards, and all internal documents are branded correctly and align with the VaultGroup brand.
- Ensure that all documents are in accordance with the company CI and that verbiage makes sense and is correct. This includes ensuring that all documents are updated and available in the Dropbox folder.
- Ensure that information on all Vaults is up to date.
- Ensure the user experience is conducive to users and that users are able to obtain the information that they require. Moreover, ensure user interfaces and experience of various systems, For example, Click & Collect, Drop & Shop, Server 100 is user friendly.
- Ensure that the verbiage used is easy to understand, and correct and that the look and feel is in accordance with VaultGroup's CI and that all relevant logos are included.
- Work with Search King to ensure the budget is being spent effectively, and ensure SEO and google ads are in line with current search.
Marketing Strategies:
- Present any relevant advertising opportunities to management then create the content and roll it out. Liaise with any third-party agencies to create concepts, get quotes, pitch to management and ensure it is rolled out.
- Find and present possible exhibitions or events to management in order to bring the brand to the knowledge of potential customer and ensure overall general brand awareness.
- Ensure new products are successfully launched and communicated to the public.
- Ensure that new leads are being generated, and that the sales team has everything they need in order to be able to generate sales.
- Develop an integrated marketing strategy that aligns with the company's goals, objectives, values and brand for the company to reach its strategic goals.
- Ensure that VaultGroup maintains a positive public image.
Social Media:
- Ensure that all social media pages of VaultGroup and VG Media, includes posts, content as well as the profile pictures, cover images and page/profile descriptions, are updated and align with the VaultGroup brand.
- Maintaining VaultGroup and VG Media websites and ensuring that it is up to date at all times.
- Manage the brand's social media presence, develop, and implement social media strategies, and engage with customers and followers.
- Create and curate content, monitor social media metrics at all times.
- Implement and ensure adherence to social media policies, frameworks, and corporate identity guidelines. Maintain brand consistency across all social media channels.
Design & Creating Content
- Create compelling and engaging content across a variety of mediums. This includes written, visual and audio methods such as graphic design, web design, video production, photography and copywriting.
- Develop a creative vision and strategy that aligns with business objectives and effectively communicate key messages to target audiences.
- Ensure that the website is regularly updated with fresh and engaging content to attract and retain visitors.
- Ensure that all the final designs that are created by the Graphic Designer are free of mistakes / errors before going out to the public.
Administration:
- Ensure that budget is being spent well in order to achieve business objectives, set budget with approval on and annual basis with the approval of the business directors.
- Responsible for ensuring effective internal communications which includes running the HOD and Directors comms meeting.
- Ensure that anything that is communicated to external shareholders
is in line with the company CI and the verbiage that is used. - Present ideas for year-end gifts, source the gifts and ensure that they are distributed within the company to all employees.
- Source, order and brand any staff uniform to ensure that staff
member are dressed in a manner that aligns with the VaultGroup brand when they face client. - Responsible for procuring any element that form part of the company touchpoint.
Requirement:
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing roles. This could include experience in brand management, or digital marketing.
- Prior experience in managerial or leadership positions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Analytical skills for interpreting market data and trends.
- Creativity for developing innovative marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Leadership abilities for managing teams and projects.
- Strategic thinking to develop long-term marketing plans aligned with business goals.
- Digital marketing skills, including proficiency in social media, email marketing, SEO, and analytics tools.
