Financial Accountant
to support their Group Finance function by ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage transactional and reporting processes, including month-end entries, accruals, tax, deferred tax, and intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare and reconcile intercompany recharges and accounts.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers, track capital expenditure, and process asset disposals.
  • Prepare balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, payroll journals, and key account reconciliations.
  • Deliver finance inputs and variance analysis for monthly shareholder and board reports.
  • Complete year-end packs and manage tax submissions (VAT, income tax, WHT).
  • Collaborate with treasury on cash flow management, debtor collections, and creditor payments.
  • Support audit processes, compliance reporting, and year-end financial statements.
  • Partner with operational teams on budgeting, forecasting, and system uploads.
  • Provide ad hoc administrative and project support to the broader finance team.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) Non negotiable.
  • Minimum 3 years post-articles experience in a commercial or corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of financial systems, internal controls, and accounting processes.
  • Exposure to renewable energy, asset-intensive industries, or multi-entity environments advantageous.
  • Experience in a shared services environment beneficial.
