J o b P u r p o s e:

We are seeking an ambitious and innovative Regional Marcomms Associate to join our team and drive our marketing and business development efforts in the African region. As the Regional Marcomms Associate, you will be responsible for executing effective marketing initiatives to promote our products/services and drive business growth. Your role will play a crucial part in shaping the success of our regional marketing initiatives.

B u s i n e s s O v e r v i e w:

Lucy Electric is an international leader in intelligent secondary power distribution products and solutions, with features such as remote operation and monitoring. Linking energy generation to consumption, the business specialises in high-performance medium and low-voltage switchgear for utility, industrial and commercial applications.

J o b C o n t e x t:

The Sub Saharan market presents growth opportunities for Lucy Electric, this roll will require close coordination with the sales teams for Eastern, Southern and Western Africa.

J o b D i m e n s i o n s:

Working in our Regional Marketing team as Regional Marcomms Associate you will work closely with the Regional Marketing Manager, Regional Sales Teams, and other regional functions with a dotted reporting line to the Lucy Electric Head of Central Marcomms.

The role will be based in our office in Roodepoort and will require local travel.

K e y A c c o u n t a b i l i t i e s:

Regional Planning and execution


• Collating information for the annual regional Marcomms planning process with analytics and required inputs.


• Collate and process expense records and budget data for activities through to the payment of suppliers which will contribute to the regional cost control using the relevant corporate systems


• Process expenses related to events, campaigns, and other marketing activities in a timely manner to assist the tracking of the regional budget


• Collate research information and to understand industry trends, customer needs and competitive positioning from branding and marketing perspective.

Event Management


• Support planning and delivering events according to schedule to run within budget, meet all deadlines, work closely with, and coordinate activities of all other parties involved in the design development, sales, marketing, and delivery of the events.


• Arrange venues, equipment, catering, accommodations, and travel for participants arriving from various locations to ensure the smooth running of medium-scale events. Work closely with Central Marketing organization to ensure established event standard is met.


• Collate content and draft pre and post event communication to maximise engagement and follow up opportunities.


• Record event performance KPIs and ROI metrics in the relevant systems


• Contribute to adopting latest best practices for events in the region.

Customer Engagement


• Design and execute customer communication plan including offer updates, upcoming events, and Regional LE announcements, through various channels, including email, content marketing and paid advertising.


• Maintain regional customer communication calendar aligned to the Marketing Plan


• Establish and maintain target audience lists


• Track and report on customer engagement metrics, sharing and implementing best practices


• Deliver regional demand generation and customer engagement programs for targeted audiences.


• Where required lease with PR and digital agencies to increase LE reach and visibility

Product launches and sales support


• Coordinate with Central Product Management and Marcomms teams on regional launch timings.


• Regionalise and distribute product and sales collateral, case studies, white papers and other content to support the product launch and sales process and where required facilitate translations.


• Track local initiatives by logging these activities using the global CRM system

Regional Internal Communications


• Responsible for internal communication to keep regional organization informed and aligned with company goals.


• Organise internal events such as town halls, training sessions and team building activities to foster collaboration and engagement.


• Draft content for newsletters internal memos and other communication materials to ensure consistency and transparency across region working closely with Central

Marcomms and the Regional team


• Arrange internal events such as town halls, training sessions and team building activities

Relationship Management and Collaboration:


• Collaborate with the sales team to align marketing activities with sales objectives and support lead generation and conversion efforts.


• Liaise with Central Marcomms and other regional marketing teams to share best practices, leverage global marketing assets, and contribute to global marketing initiatives.

Q u a l i f i c a t i o n s, K n o w l e d g e, a n d E x p e r i e n c e:

E d u c a t i o n a n d E x p e r i e n c e:


• Bachelor's degree in business or related subject, Marketing desirable


• Experience in B2B Regional Marketing role, preferably in a multinational matrixed company


• Relevant industry experience is highly desirable.


• Demonstrated success in delivering marketing communications projects

L a n g u a g e s:


• Required: English, regional language, French speaking would be desirable, but not mandatory

• Prior experience in event management


• Experience with digital marketing


• Experience in managing internal communications within large matrixed organisation.


• Skilled in customer/key stakeholder journey mapping to improve customer engagement satisfaction and conversion.


• Ability to engage, take direction and influence internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
