Superintendent (Boilermaker)

Requirements

• Trade Test certificate as a Boilermaker.
• 5 Years or more post apprenticeship experience related to below

KPA's.

• Supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Computer Literacy (MS Office and SAP).
• Valid Code C or EC driver's Licence.

Key Performance Areas

• Schedule vehicle and plant maintenance work.
• Evaluating technical condition of assets to be repaired or

maintained and prepare cost estimates.

• Evaluate annual workshop operation resource requirements.
• Co-ordinate the implementation of mechanical repairs,

maintenance schedules and procedures.

• Participating operational meetings and presenting maintenance

and repair activities including related costs.

• Maintenance and monitoring of vehicles permanently allocated to

the operations in terms of service level agreements.

• Identify deviations and institute remedial action.
• Staff Management.
• Administering the relevant service level agreements between

workshop and its stakeholders.

• Maintaining applicable safety standards and records within EAM

workshop.

• Ensuring vehicle compliance to the Road Traffic Act where

applicable.

PLEASE NOTE: THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO

WORK OUTSIDE NORMAL WORKING HOURS, DURING EMERGENCIES

AND PLANNED OVERTIME. BE ON STANDBY. WORK IN ALL WEATHER

CONDITIONS.
