About the Role

Your role as an Operations Coordinator is to grow demand in the SSA region. You will drive the execution of an ambitious roadmap of initiatives and you will be accountable for the performance of these projects. You will work on impactful projects that involve analyzing data sets, providing creative solutions, and leaning into execution driving business impact day in, day out.

What the Candidate Will Do:

  • Grow active riders - partner with the local rider POCs to grow the active rider base.
  • Manage end-to-end city operations - steer business performance and KPIs at city-level, own day-to-day operations, drive operational improvements and local initiatives to improve rider engagement design and implement effective incentives strategies
  • Develop & Optimize Processes - Scale new and existing processes to allow the business to efficiently operate and grow
  • Analytics - Analysis of rider acquisition, engagement and churn to inform decisions and initiatives, guide incentive programs and ensure high-quality experiences; deep dive into data to get to the root cause of operational problems, drive improvements and solve problems in quick turnaround times
  • Product improvements and features rollout - Support with the rollout of new product features working closely with Uber Tech teams; generate insights and build strong feedback loop between operations and product / tech to improve product and deliver a seamless driver, customer, and partner experience
  • Geo-expansion: support new city and product launches

What the Candidate Will Need

  • Min 2 years of experience in a strategy / operations / consulting or related role
  • Min 2 years of proven experience in local operations with good knowledge of KPIs and Ops analytics
  • Ability to identify new opportunities and own the project end-to-end, driving proactively solutioning and implementation; Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
  • Ability to run multiple projects/ initiatives in parallel working together with wide range of stakeholders and functions
  • Ability to work in a team and also independently
  • Data-driven decision making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking
