Calling all Group Accountants

An exciting opportunity exists for a Group Accountant to join a leading automotive group in Middelburg. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and strategic insight across multiple dealerships.
 
This position is ideal for a results-driven finance professional who enjoys both hands-on accounting and strategic business partnering. This is your opportunity to work with a reputable and growing group in the automotive industry, gain exposure to a dynamic, multi-branch environment and contribute strategically to business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage group financial operations across multiple branches
  • Perform and review monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Check, approve, and manage payments, ensuring sound cash flow management
  • Prepare and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts
  • Manage consolidations and inter-branch transactions efficiently
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and group financial reports
  • Drive the budgeting and forecasting process, including detailed variance analysis

Job Experience and Skills Required:
  • CA(SA)
  • Minimum 1 year post-articles experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and strong financial modelling skills
  • Experience with Evolve or similar dealership management systems (advantageous)
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and partner with operations
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Sound knowledge of taxation, compliance, and financial controls
