Key performance areas:

  • Industrial Gear and Planetary product application, consulting, fault diagnosis. trouble shooting and reporting.
  • Drive package component selection and integration against stipulated performance and reliability enquiry criteria.
  • Technical training of staff and customers relating to industrial planetary gearing products.
  • The provision of technical material relating industrial gear products for use in both internal and external publications.
  • On-site technical Field Service Support as and when requested.
  • Technical support to key account managers, project sales and divisional sales personnel in support of product sales.
  • Mentorship of both newly and appointed and trainee applications engineering support staff.
  • Drive assembly drawing approval in conjunction with drawing Office Personnel and Procedures.
  • Effective use of the Engineering Enquiry System
  • Customer, Branch, and divisional technical expertise service delivery covering mechanical drives products.
  • Total process solutions delivery by involvement with other products disciplines
  • Achieving target response times for the submissions of technical content such as may be required for the completion and response to enquiries as received by customer and other divisions and branches within the company
  • Escalating gear product failure mode analysis and reporting to a level of professionalism which benefits the long-term reputation of the company.

Main Specifications:

  • Matric/Grade 12.
  • Mechanical engineering Diploma or Degree
  • Min 5 Years' experience in the industry preferably with technical and engineering project background.
  • Interpersonal skills, Communication Skills, planning skills, technical skills and commercial skills
  • Customer focused, attention to detail, deadline oriented and able to work under pressure.
