Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Professional Civil Engineer (Pr.Eng or Pr.TechEng) located in the Western Cape. The Professional Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, assessing, and supervising civil and structural engineering projects. The role includes site inspections, quality assurance, reporting, and providing technical guidance to ensure that all project deliverables meet client requirements, engineering standards, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget, maintaining the highest standards of professional engineering practice.

Minimum Requirements

  • BSc/BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr.TechEng) with ECSA is essential.
  • Minimum of 5–8 years' relevant experience in civil and structural engineering design, supervision, and project management.
  • Sound understanding of SANS standards, engineering codes of practice, and local authority regulations.
  • Proven experience in roads, stormwater, water, and sewer reticulation design and supervision.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office, and project management tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team.
