Product Adaptation & Marketing Manager – SUV & LCV | Automotive Industry


Centurion | 6-Month Contract | R83K p/m

Product Adaptation & Marketing Manager
to lead the SUV and Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segments for a
global automotive brand
.

This cross-functional role bridges
technical innovation and commercial strategy
, ensuring products meet
market demands, regulatory standards, and business goals
. You'll work closely with local and global teams across
Product, Engineering, Marketing, and R&D
to drive product excellence from concept to market launch.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Planning

  • Develop long-term product strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct market mapping, volume projections, segmentation, and competitive analysis.
  • Define unique selling propositions (USPs) and price-volume competitiveness.

Product Management

  • Manage the SUV & LCV product portfolio and lifecycle.
  • Drive variant management, spec definition, and product enhancement initiatives.
  • Oversee technical and warranty feedback integration.

Research & Market Insights

  • Lead focus groups, customer interviews, and market visits.
  • Translate insights into actionable improvements for product, pricing, and positioning.

Marketing & Launch Execution

  • Define go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
  • Build competitor positioning maps and coordinate multi-channel launch campaigns.
  • Prepare internal business case presentations and dealer training support.

Product Development & Project Management

  • Identify local requirements for variants and accessories.
  • Liaise with suppliers, engineering, and homologation teams for approvals.
  • Lead new model introductions and ensure on-time project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
    in Marketing, Commerce, or related
  • Engineering qualification
    (BEng/BSc/BTech) (
    preferred
    )
  • Postgraduate in Business/Marketing
    (
    advantageous
    )
  • 7–10 years total experience
    , with
    5+ years in an Automotive OEM
  • Proven expertise in
    product planning, marketing, or management
  • Exposure to
    engineering, R&D, and vehicle lifecycle management
