Role overview:

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will be part of the Government and Public Services industry Operations and Technology Consulting team, with the opportunity to work collaboratively with the best of our Strategy, Engineering, AI & Data, and Delivery Management teams, to imagine, architect, shape and deliver large scale tech transformation initiatives, using your technical expertise with strong industry, communication, and leadership skills, to design effective solutions that meet business requirements.

Expertise required:

• Deep technology and solution architecture, design and engineering
• Enterprise and solutions architecture, design, and implementation across industries
• Familiarity with industry and domain specific leading practices, innovation and modernisation in at least one of the following areas
  • Cloud (Strategy, modernisation and migration), with specific experience in Cloud modernisation ecosystem and value cases
  • Digital public infrastructure, digital public goods, and/or platform modernisation, leveraging Cloud / Hybrid Cloud architectures
• Familiarity with and experience in establishing DevOps / DataOps delivery structures
• Ability to vision, shape, structure and deliver large scale tech and data programs / projects
• Design and implementation of innovative propositions leveraging leading edge platforms, architectural design patterns, platforms
• Experience in defining and tailoring a fit for purpose implementation approach, leveraging the best of Agile and traditional delivery practices
• Technology strategy definition and execution, defining and implementing transformation roadmaps
• Enterprise and solutions architecture experience

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or other related technical / professional qualifications
• 7 - 10 years of experience in planning, architecting, and implementing Cloud environments
• 3 - 5 years of experience in a client facing and technical sales roles
• Must have previous experience as a Lead Solution Architect at an enterprise level
• Proven track record in Cloud migrations, development, and design
• Must have Cloud professional level certification (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Professional)

Technical Mastery:

• Expertise in Cloud Solution Architecture (Multicloud, Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud)
• Proficiency in Cloud Networking, Authentication & Authorization
• Innovate with Serverless Architecture & Monolithic Application Decoupling
• Security by Design Principles & Defence in Depth Security Model
• Compliance with International Standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks, PCI DSS, POPIA, GDPR)
• Strong System Integration knowledge
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments
• Understanding Cloud Native Services vs SaaS and Third-Party services
• Big Data and ETL Process Understanding
• Project Management & Strategic Planning
