Commercial Operations Analyst

The purpose of this role is to provide commercial analysis support across the CX division. This includes collecting and analysing operational and financial data, identifying anomalies and trends, and delivering accurate reports and dashboards to internal stakeholders. The purpose of the reports and dashboards is to transform data into actionable insights and support revenue assurance for international clients.

This position will
:

1. Data Collection & Management

  • Gather raw data from multiple sources and maintain structured databases.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility for analysis.

2. Data Analysis & Insight Generation

  • Analyse operational and financial data to identify patterns, anomalies, and trends.
  • Interpret data to highlight key levers impacting revenue and performance.
  • Transform data into actionable insights to support commercial and operational decisions.

3. Reporting & Dashboard Development

  • Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly revenue assurance reports for international clients.
  • Develop and update dashboards, spreadsheets, and data visualisations to communicate insights effectively.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reporting packs to stakeholders (Ops, Marketing, Commercial Heads, etc.).

4. Quality Assurance

  • Reconcile and validate data to ensure accuracy in reporting outputs.
  • Investigate anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot reporting and data issues as required.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Relationship Management

  • Engage with internal teams (Operations, IT, BI, Workforce, QA, Billing, Digital Marketing) to align on reporting requirements and insights.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to share knowledge and support achievement of strategic goals.
  • Ensure a customer-focused approach in all engagements with both internal and external stakeholders.

6. Administration & Support

  • Maintain master data reports and ensure they are up to date.
  • Provide administrative support for reporting processes and documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in reporting and analysis.

Knowledge, skills and attributes
:

  • Strong commercial acumen and business understanding
  • Ability to collaborate with support teams without formal authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Conceptual understanding of commercial operations and analysis
  • Organised with ability to meet deadlines for projects collaborating with a variety of different stakeholders

Education and training
:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, business, or commercially orientated field of study (preferred)
  • Advanced Excel
  • SQL , Snowflake , PBI or similar data extraction, collation and report building creation an advantage

Experience
:

  • 3- 5 years' experience within; Telecommunications , Operations or similar Commercial industries
