Are you detail-driven with a strong eye for accuracy and financial control? Our client is seeking a Commercial Finance Claims Analyst to ensure that customer trade spend claims are validated, reconciled, and managed with precision.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate customer trade spend claims including discounts, rebates, pricing-off, incentives, and listing fees.
  • Check all claims against approved trade terms, contracts, and supporting documentation.
  • Investigate discrepancies, duplication, or incomplete submissions, maintaining a claims tracker across customers and months.
  • Prepare monthly claims validation reports and support month-end accrual and reversal processes.
  • Monitor claim settlements and work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure timely resolution.
  • Engage with Sales, Commercial Finance, and Customer Service teams to clarify terms, documentation, and claim offsets.
  • Communicate claim outcomes clearly to customers and escalate delays where required.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, support audit requirements, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Recommend improvements, support governance, and contribute to automation or digitisation initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years' experience in FMCG finance, sales finance, or claims management.
  • Strong analytical capability, numerical accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of trade spend mechanics and financial control principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of SAP or other relevant systems.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
