Area of specialization: The primary responsibility include the design, development and management of the groundwater projects, which include undertaking groundwater resource assessments, field investigations, contractor management and supervision, data interpretation and reporting. sampling and monitoring of surface and groundwater in waste disposal sites, mining areas and power stations, which include mapping of pollutions plumes, establishment of monitoring programmes, assessment of water quality trends, aquifer characterisation, assessment of potential water resource pollution and reporting.

Managing of junior Hydrogeologists, internship programmes in line with the Kimopax Group strategic objectives, project management and maintaining the Kimopax Quality Management Systems (QMS), Client Relations Management and lead the Business Unit.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualification(s): BSc (Hons) in Hydrogeology/Geohydrology, MSc in Hydrogeology will be advantageous, Project Management and Total Quality Management Systems certifications will be advantageous.

Professional Registration and Certificates

Professional Natural Scientist (Pr.Sci.Nat); Industry Bodies.

Experience:

✓ Years of experience: Minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required.

✓ Project Leadership: Experience in leading small to medium-sized projects from inception to completion, managing budgets, and liaising with clients is essential.

✓ Fieldwork and investigation: Designing and overseeing complex field investigations, including drilling oversight, aquifer testing and geophysical surveys.

✓ Mentorship: Experience in mentoring junior staff members.
