Job Description:

Senior IBM Content Management Specialist / Engineer Wanted

Are you an experienced ECM professional with 5+ years focused on the IBM Content Management Suite? Do you excel at system configuration, maintenance, and keeping critical content repositories running flawlessly? We are looking for a dedicated specialist to manage and enhance our core content systems.

This is a perm role with our client in Cape Town

Responsibilities
  • Manage, configure, and provide general support for key content repositories, including IBM Content Manager 8, IBM Content Manager OnDemand, and their associated web clients.
  • Configure, support, and implement new solutions utilising the full IBM CM suite, including Content Navigator and Records Manager, and manage third-party package upgrades and maintenance.
  • Manage system capacity, execute Disaster Recovery (DR) processes and tests, and ensure high availability through diligent Production Support and standby duty.
  • Develop and design system enhancements, conduct Proof of Concepts, create technical documentation, and provide task estimations and work allocation recommendations.
  • Handle user access, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain systems based on business requirements.
What You Must Bring
  • Minimum 5 Years direct experience with IBM Content Manager and IBM Content Manager OnDemand.
  • Proven skills in Solutions Development and Design, Scripting, and managing Relational Databases (DB2, MS SQL).
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server and Red Hat Linux environments.
  • Understanding of content capture, classification solutions, and broad Enterprise Content Management (ECM) technologies.
  • Strong analytical ability, advanced problem-solving skills, and excellent communication.
