Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance executive with experience in financial control, analysis, and business partnering, to join the finance team at CCBA. This role will play a significant part in providing financial advisory services across CCBSA's business unit. The successful applicant will be reporting into the Managing Director for South Africa, Lesotho & Eswatini.

Key Purpose
:
The Finance Director will play a critical leadership role in overseeing the financial strategy, management, and operations of the organisation. This position is responsible for ensuring financial sustainability, providing strategic insights, and delivering accurate financial reporting to support business growth and decision-making. The Finance Director will collaborate with senior leadership to drive financial performance, optimise resource allocation, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. A key objective is to build and maintain a high-performing finance function that contributes to the organization's long-term success and financial health.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Alignment to Business Objectives
- Develop and Implement Local Finance Strategy: Lead the creation and execution of the finance strategy within the local bottling operation, ensuring alignment with CCBA's finance goals and supporting operational objectives.
Financial control
- Fiduciary accountability under financial control, focusing on compliance with internal controls, credit management, sign off on local reporting, support for local audit, and management of services levels from shared services.
- Ensure organization-wide performance meets financial objectives through strategic financial management and business insights.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks through appropriate corrective actions and governance measures
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Manage Planning and Forecasting: Oversee the Long-Range Plan (LRP), budget, and forecasting processes to ensure alignment with CCBA and stakeholder expectations.
- Deliver Financial Results and Analysis: Provide comprehensive month-end results and analytical reporting to the Group Office and local directors, generating actionable insights to drive value.
Customer-Centric Business Partnering
- Develop a customer-centric finance function that provides decision support and constructive challenges to deliver results.
- Foster continuous improvement within the finance function to improve processes and reduce costs, collaborating with Group Office to build superior finance capabilities and share best practices.
- Enhance finance analytical and personal capabilities to generate meaningful insights and support line managers in implementing change.
- Partner with Commercial and Supply Chain Directors and other stakeholders to maximize business value through strategic collaboration and fiduciary management.
Procurement
- Lead the development and implementation of procurement strategies to align with financial goals and ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Oversee the procurement function, ensuring compliance with policies, effective supplier management, and mitigation of procurement-related risks.
Tax
- Provide expert advice on tax policy, regulations, and changes, ensuring the company's tax practices are aligned with current laws and best practices while supporting strategic decision-making.
- Ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, while identifying and managing tax-related risks and opportunities.
IT
- Align IT strategy with the company's financial objectives, ensuring that technology investments support overall business goals and improve financial performance. Understand and lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance financial processes, such as implementing advanced financial software, automating manual tasks, and adopting new technologies
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Summary: 10+ years of financial leadership experience in both operational and corporate settings, this role demands expertise in developing and implementing financial strategies across functions/regions. Must have a proven track record of leading Finance functions.
- Accountancy with professional accountancy qualification such as ICAG, ACCA or CIMA; must be a professional member in good standing.
