Introduction

My client has a fleet of about 20 trucks and is in need of a Welder / Spray Painter / Panel Beater to assist in their workshop in Durbanville

Duties & Responsibilities

Daily tasks consist of but not limited to:

Panel Beater:

• Repair and replace damaged vehicle panels and body parts.

• Straighten frames and align body structures using specialized tools.

• Sand, fill, and prepare surfaces for painting.

• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all repairs.


• o Body and lead-filling

• o Examination and construction of vehicles

• o Sawing, chiselling, riveting, grinding

• o Gas and MiG welding

• o Brazing, metal cutting with oxyacetylene

• o Plasma-arc metal cutting

• o Remove and replace vehicle bumpers, panels, headlamps, doors, deck lid/tailgates

• o Perform exterior and interior trimming, upholstery – dashboards and air conditioner

• o Repair body component sliding roofs, electrics and vehicle glass

• o Repair plastic components and glass fiber panels

• o Perform minor dents and reshape a box section

• o Align the upper body structure and re-align the body shell & frames

• Electonic chassis measuring

• Work well under pressure

• Must be able to do major structural damages of trucks
