Overview:

FlowPath Clinical & Laboratory Practice is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Stock Controller to join our team. This role is critical in maintaining the smooth operation of our laboratory and clinical services by managing inventory and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies at all times. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare or laboratory environments, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic, shift-based work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of laboratory supplies and clinical materials.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
  • Update and maintain inventory records using inventory management software.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to order and restock items efficiently.
  • Prepare and verify supplies for all departments before dispatch.
  • Implement and adhere to health and safety regulations within the storeroom and laboratory areas.
  • Work closely with department heads to forecast inventory needs based on trends and upcoming projects.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring all items are stored securely and in compliance with handling procedures.
  • Handle logistics and distribution of supplies within the practice, including delivery and pickup schedules.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager, or similar role in a laboratory or healthcare setting.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for coordinating with team members and suppliers.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and inventory software.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Further certification in supply chain management or inventory control is a plus.
