Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate is a world-renowned wine destination nestled between Hermanus and Cape Town. Our stunning waterfront location hosts weddings, corporate events, wine experiences, and our acclaimed Moody Lagoon Restaurant, along with luxury villa accommodation.
The Role:
We're seeking a dynamic, results-driven Events and Sales Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced, premium hospitality environment. You'll be responsible for converting enquiries into confirmed bookings, selling our luxury villa accommodation, managing event administration from enquiry through to execution, and ensuring flawless client experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Convert enquiries to bookings - proactively follow up with leads and close sales
• Sell luxury villa accommodation - manage villa bookings and guest enquiries
• Manage event bookings including weddings, corporate functions, and private dining
• Prepare detailed quotes, proposals, and contracts
• Coordinate with kitchen, front-of-house, and operations teams
• Handle event budgets, deposits, and final invoicing
• Maintain booking systems and event calendars with precision
• Manage client correspondence and build strong relationships
• Prepare event orders and detailed run sheets
• Track payments and follow up on outstanding accounts
• Support the events team during high-volume periods
Essential Requirements
You must have:
• Proven closing ability - track record of converting leads to sales
• Strong administrative skills - meticulous attention to detail
• Numerical competency - confident with budgets, quotes, and financial tracking
• Personable nature - warm, professional client communication
• Fast-thinking - able to multitask and prioritize under pressure
• Excellent PC skills including:
• MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) - advanced level
• Database/CRM systems
• Email management and professional correspondence
• Booking/reservation systems
• Quick learner for estate-specific software
Advantageous:
• Previous events, hospitality, or wedding coordination experience
• Wine industry knowledge
• Valid driver's license
