About the role:The Lead Internal Auditor will be responsible for the delivery of audit engagements, support in the development of the annual audit plan, identification of modern data analytic continuous monitoring techniques within the audit portfolio. To conduct under the direction of the Audit Manager internal audits to add value to the organisation.
What you will bring:- A degree in a relevant field, such as BCom or equivalent
- CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CA(SA) - Chartered Accountant or equivalent
- At least five years of relevant experience in a professional services firm or in-house internal audit function, preferably in banking.
- Audit Execution: Lead and perform internal audits to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, controls, and risk management practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business units and support teams to gather information, communicate findings, and ensure alignment on audit outcomes and follow-up actions.
- Process Evaluation: Review and analyse business processes to identify control gaps, improvement opportunities, and areas of operational risk.
- Data Analytics: Leverage data analytics tools and techniques to enhance audit coverage, identify trends or anomalies, and improve the overall quality and efficiency of audit procedures.
- Demonstrate a proactive commitment to ongoing learning and development to enhance audit skills and stay current with industry developments.
