How you'll role

In the role of Club Manager at a leading sports and leisure club in Cape Town, you will be the driving force behind the seamless running of daily operations, elevating member experiences, and supporting the club's growth and community involvement. This pivotal position encompasses strategic staff management, marketing leadership, financial oversight, and customer satisfaction initiatives to ensure the club remains a beacon of engagement and quality in the community.

What you'll do

  • Recruit, schedule, and manage club staff and coaches for optimal coverage
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, staff training, and promote club values
  • Manage staff discipline and foster a positive team cultureOversee shop and merchandise operations, including stock control and presentation
  • Drive marketing and promotional activities using social media, mailers, and events
  • Maintain club infrastructure, ensuring facilities are safe and well-maintained
  • Monitor utilisation rates and ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Build a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests
  • Arrange and coordinate club events, tournaments, clinics, and social functions
  • Collaborate with external marketing partners and agencies as needed
  • Control budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure cost-effective operations
  • Uphold all operational, health, and safety protocols

What you'll need

  • Experience managing teams in sports, hospitality, or leisure environments
  • Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and team-building abilities
  • Excellent organisational, event coordination, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and sales advantageous
  • Marketing and social media skills preferred
  • Customer service-focused mindset with high energy and adaptability
