We are looking for a senior financial manager to Head our client facing financial practice,
Admin4Impact
(a division of Alternative Prosperity).

In this role you will head up a team that provides accounting and back-office support to a portfolio of companies, made up from our investee companies, investor companies and other ventures that we operate on behalf of clients.

The role is ideal for someone that gets energy from working with leaders in entrepreneurial businesses through putting strong financial and back-office structures in place.

The position will be based in Somerset West, Cape Town.

Salaries are market related.

Requirements

·       CA (SA) or equivalent qualification

· Accounting/finance experience, including management responsibility

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial management and back-office support activities for a portfolio of "clients" in the Alternative Prosperity Group. The clients comprise investee companies, investor companies and entities set up and operated on behalf of clients. This includes

  • managing a team of accountants and delivering comprehensive financial oversight, reporting, and strategic support services — including outsourced Financial Director (FD) on-call services.
  • With the AP EXCO grow the portfolio of companies and delivery team.

Including, but not limited to

  1. Financial Management & Oversight

  2. Lead and coordinate all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

  3. Oversee preparation of monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, and cash flow forecasts.
  4. Manage client budgets, cost control, and financial performance reviews.

  5. Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls and processes.

  6. Client Relationship Management and Business Development

  7. Act as the primary financial contact for clients, delivering high-quality outsourced finance services

  8. Provide Financial Director-level insights, including financial analysis, strategic recommendations, and board-level reporting.
  9. Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication and value-added financial guidance.
  10. With EXCO refine and grow the service offering and client base of Admin4Impact.

  11. Utilise systems, and technology to offer cost effective support that can be sustained.

  12. Leadership & Team Management

  13. Supervise, develop and grow a team of accountants, providing guidance, performance feedback, and mentorship.

  14. Allocate work efficiently to meet deadlines and client expectations.
  15. Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  1. Compliance & Governance

  2. Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and relevant legislation.

  3. Liaise with auditors, tax practitioners, and other stakeholders.
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.

The person must be able to work in a team driven by both purpose and quality delivery. The individual must be able to analyse, advise and project manage opportunities and challenges with our clients.
