Pro-Elec Consultants (PE Consultants) is a young, energetic, and rapidly growing electrical engineering company based in Pretoria. We specialise in electrical, electronic, and automation solutions, operating in EPC, ECPM, and turnkey projects. Our team is passionate about delivering technical excellence, integrity, and client satisfaction.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, technically minded, and organised Engineering Assistant to join our administrative and project support team. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and coordination support to engineering teams.
  • Assist with calendar coordination, scheduling, and appointment management.
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, municipal officials, and other stakeholders to obtain technical information and pricing.
  • Maintain project documentation, filing, and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Assist with tender compilation, bid management, and submission of documentation.
  • Support preparation of fee proposals, electrical applications, invoicing, and general client enquiries.
  • Assist with report editing, bookings, and day-to-day project coordination.
  • Assist with documentation co-ordination between offices and construction sites
  • Management of office supplies

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric certificate
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills
  • Good telephone etiquette and communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Valid driver's license and own reliable transport
  • Self-disciplined, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to learn

Advantageous Skills

  • Tertiary qualification in Administration, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, power quality, or circuits
  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD or similar)
  • Familiarity with Xero or other accounting/invoicing systems
