Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Customer Experience

  • Drive sales performance and achieve store targets.

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience that reflects the Norman Goodfellows brand.
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations with professionalism.

  • Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, liquor licensing, health & safety, and legal requirements.

  • Manage stock control, ordering, receiving, and shrinkage management.
  • Ensure store presentation, merchandising, and promotional displays meet company standards.

  • Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, motivate, and manage store staff.

  • Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.

  • Financial & Reporting

  • Manage budgets, expenses, and cost control.

  • Analyse sales data and prepare reports for management.
  • Drive profitability through effective resource allocation and cost management.

Requirements

  • Matric/Grade 12 (Tertiary qualification in Retail/Business Management advantageous).

  • Minimum 3–5 years' retail management experience, preferably in liquor, FMCG, or premium lifestyle retail.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales and managing high-performing teams.
  • Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
